I think Problem Bears is easily the best of the three. The other two are probably pretty close, but I'd say Forest Edge is a bit better than Ultra Mundane!
So I got
1. Problem Bears
2. Forest Edge
3. Ultra Mundane
How about you????

3. Ultra Mundane
I'd like to hear P Bears live. How it didn't make it onto the album is beyond me.

1. Ultra Mundane
2. Problem Bears
3. Forest Edge
Someone's got to have a contrasting opinion, right?
For me, the top two are a toss-up, but I'll go with UM strictly because the "sneeze" line gets me chuckling everytime...
Despite innumerable listenings, Forest Edge still hasn't grabbed me...

Only Gord could fit Memphramagog in a song.
1.Problem Bears(love the "Two tough talkin goalies" reference)
2.Forest Edge
3.Ultra Mundane

Slide guitar kicks ass. Problem Bears is definately the best of the three.
The latter two are a toss up. If I had to choose:
1. Problem Bears
2. Forest Edge
3. Ultra Mundane

Any one of these songs were album material if you ask me. I guess I would rank them like this.
1. Problem Bears
2. Forest Edge
3. Ultra Mundane
- I burnt myself an improved IVL CD. I put the three bonus songs on at the end!

I think the bonus songs were on line as opposed to on the CD so that people could benifit from their Hip Club memberships, not because they are bad songs.
I am wondering if whenever IVL is released again in the future if the three bonus songs will be on it? Kind of like adding on All canadian Surf Club to the EP or adding videos to their early albums.

I put on the bonus tracks in the order they came out at the end, exept I wanted to keep The Dark Canuck as the original finalie song. I didn't add Silver Road. It's a great song, but it's not Gord.
...10. The Dire Wolf
11. Oh Honey
12. Ultra Mundane
13. Problem bears
14. Forest Edge
15. The Dark Canuck
That's my new improved In Violet Light CD!

I'd be really interested to see if anyone has mixed these three songs into In Violet Light in different places. The idea intrigues me, but having heard an album enough times the way it was released, I think I'd have a really hard time finding homes for the new songs within the established ones.
