Was anyone listening to "Definately not the Opera" today on CBC Radio One, at 4pm?! Sook Yin Lee was interviewing Gord D and I was hoping someone on here heard it and can give some info on it.....

Interview with Sook-Yin Lee

Boy Bruised by Butterfly, Are You Ready, and Throwing
Off Glass were played.

First 10 minute segment was on the Hip's fanbase,
including interviews with Hipsters from the Syracuse
show. They had an interview with Mark Sloggett, about
how many shows he's seen and why he goes to all of
them. Talked about the commeraderie of Hip fans,
meeting together before & at shows, then meeting out
back after shows to meet the band.

Second almost 30 minute segment was the interview with
Gord Downie, conducted backstage on their stopover in
Winnipeg October 1/2. Talked about things like poets,
poetry, songwriting, brotherhood, longevity, family,
and children. Talked about inspirations for Are You
Ready and Throwing Off Glass. Sook-Yin asked some
dumb questions, but overall she asked some really good
questions and Gord had equally thoughtful/hilarious
answers.
