Couldn't get a ticket for Tuesday night.
I LOVE The Hip but a this specific time in my life $80 after tax and the "kick in the ass" charge from ticketbasterd is too expensive, not neccessarily for the hip, but I can't afford it at this time. It's too bad I can go, after finding out I have an extra day off on Wednesday.
Yeah, I sold the ticket at work to a good buddy who just got back from vacation. I'm not one to give an excuse, but a good guy like you deserves a reason.

I understand about spending $80 for a ticket. I'd love to buy a ticket for tonight but I can't justify spending that much at this time, especially since I'll be front row tomorrow night.
Don't worry about selling the ticket to your buddy. That's totally understandable.
