So, what is everyone's runner-up band? (I think you can guess which band I mean by most favorite.) Mine is R.E.M.

I would have to say the Stereophonics and U2 are my second and third favorite bands!!

I would also pick U2 as my second and Zeppelin my third. But my second favorite Canadian band would be Big Sugar.
You said second favorite band, my second fav single artist would have to be Neil Young (Gord's my first).

I'd have to say it's the Ozzman himself Ozzy Osbourne.
He was my #1 until The Hip came to me in 1995.
The Hip now occupy that spot, but Ozzy's moved up to God, so I guess he's still #1.
I was intoduced to Ozzy & Sabbath at age 7, when Bark At The Moon came out. Our PE teacher used to let us bring tapes for gym. I brought BATM and Motley Crue-Shout At The Devil. My buddy brought Twisted Sister-Stay Hungry. Our teacher took one look at all the covers and thought we were all on crack or something, but she let us play them anyways.
I'm really a product of 80's metal. There's something The Hip have that Ozzy has. That's why they're my two bands.
Anyone ever notice in the ABAC video, when the young kid runs out the backdoor, he's wearing a black Ozzy t-shirt? What's the story behind that?

That's a tough one. Can't decide if it's Zeppelin or tool. On a related note I just found out I have front row tickets to the tool concert  here in Calgary 2 weeks after my front row tickets at the hip show 8) . Talk about two totally different shows. It's gonna be a good couple of weeks for me.

I'm not sure weither the Hip is on first and the Counting Crows on second place, or the other way around...
saw the Counting Crows last week in Amsterdam and they were great, super, fabulous.. but now, with the Hip on the stereo I'm not sure anymore....
Let's wait until november the 6th, when I'll see the Hip play for the first time in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pearl Jam. I've only seen footage of them live, and hope to see them live when they tour next year. From what I've seen they are they only band that comes close to The Hip live.
Other favourites include...
- RHCP
- Nirvana
- U2
- Dave Matthews Band
- The Odds
- The Headstones
- Radiohead
- TOOL
- Blind Melon
- Metallica
- The Police
- Soundgarden
- Live

The Hip 1st...of course!
I would have to say The Bosstones I still need to go to Hometown Throwdown though. Saw 'em at Fredonia fest years ago when they walked off stage because idiots would not stop throwing mud. Many other favorites include:
Primus
Prong
Slayer
The Toasters
Van Halen
Anthrax
Rush
CCR
...and the list goes on...
