Tragically Hip DVD

I wonder if they will tape a show from one of the small venues?
Just a idea.

I need 2 Kingston Tickets, please help.

It would be a good idea. They should make a double dvd with one disc being a concert (preferably with songs from a variety of shows) and another disc being all of the bands videos.

That would have to be a short show if it where to fit on one disk.

Well, have you seen the pearl jam touring band dvd?
It has something like 25 songs, plus 2 music videos, and 4 video clip montages ranging from 2 minutes to 6 minutes.

And I should add, all 1 disc.

The DVD has been rumoured since at least 2000. What better concerts to shoot than the small venues? You'll have some of the bands most loyal fans in attendance (thanks to The Hip Club ticket policy) and the band will sound very tight in the intimate venues.

Like Pearl Jam's Touring Band, they should feature different songs from different shows in my opinion. Taping a single show is nice, but it's also cool to see a sampling of the different venues.

There's been speculation of a DVD since at least the Music @ Work tour, possibly longer.

I remeber at the Toronto secret show earlier this year, an audience member asked if a DVD is in the works and The Hip said the plan to release one eventually.

I'll believe it when I see it! But yes, wouldn't it be nice if a DVD was released. The Hip is a band that is awesome to watch. A DVD done professionaly would have great sound and awesome picture quality. For many of us fans, we need something new to help us re-live Gord going out of his mind with his amusing antics, Robby's hair flying all over the place, Gord S's jamming and bouncing around, Paul lighting one up on stage as he plays, and Johnny beating the hell out of the drum set. Also maybe some footage of the boys outside the music scene. Just hanging out on the bus or playing some golf, whatever. That would give many who have never had a chance to meet the band see what they are really like as regular people. This is already at the top of my Christmas wish list and it doesn't even exist yet. Til then, I will keep dreaming.

I heard that they taped the 9-1-02 show from Darien Lake (which I was proud to attend) and are releasing all or parts of it on DVD. Of course, that's just what I heard... Someday, right?

In Buffalo, there was 2 "professional" videographers, 1 on either side of the stage, they were in the blocked off part where the other photo guys were, so it was definitely taped by some pro's
