Hip Posters
#1

There is a great site on the net for concert posters called expreso beans.
Here is a link for all the Hip Posters they have in their database
http://www.expressobeans.com/search.php?band=1106

There are also a couple showing up for the sasquatch Festival
http://www.expressobeans.com/search.php?...=sasquatch No Hip yet but some of the prints look pretty sick.

Just thought people would like to see.

That was the concert poster for the first Hip show I ever saw. I was mesmerized by Gord Downie's performance and how the crowd reacted to him, the band and the music. Through the years I grew to love their music catalogue, just as all of you have. After 26 concerts over 9 1/2 years, The Tragically Hip's performances are still as entrancing to me today as the first one I experienced in 1995.

Srb I would agree that this poster is appealing in its imagery. It appears to be inspired by "Nautical Disaster" which fits in perfectly with the Day for Night Tour that was in progress. I also enjoy the Canadian flag as the top sail.

The other concert posters that have great appeal to me are the ones from various years for the shows at the legendary Fillmore Theatre in San Francisco. This website is a great find!

Anyone on the Base have 1 of those Boat Posters? I still gotta get me 1 of those....

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought,compromised,detoured,lured away,turned back,diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice,hesitate in the presence of adversity,negotiate at the table of the enemy,ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

How do you add posters to the database? I've been meaning to join expressobeans for a while but just haven't had the time.

<!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.classicposters.com">www.classicposters.com</a><!-- w --> has some Hip posters on there but <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.gigposters.com">www.gigposters.com</a><!-- w --> is probably the biggest online showcase of concert posters.

I was able to purchase this item. I feel lucky to have some memorabilia from my first Hip concert. Now I need to get it signed by the boys and framed. It will go nicely with my small but growing display of signed and framed items from The Hip.

Does this mean you bought it? I always see these great posters after the show (or in this case before the show) but never at the damn show!!!

No I did not buy this one - I am looking for the one either Mark or Dave bought in Texas advertising the two Buffalo shows.
