Tickets are available at Soundscapes: http://www.soundscapesmusic.com/
The winners will be announced Live On Air via The Verge XM 87 beginning at 6PM
Live performances during the evening by: Gord Downie and the Country Of Miracles, Tokyo Police Club and The Acorn

Thx for the info. I checked it out but couldn't find anything...
Tickets are only available in person, and for $20 it's a steal.
I was told Soundscapes and this store also has them: http://www.rotate.com/

I went to Rotate This on Sunday and got a ticket. They had a stack, but not a big one - maybe <50 tickets in there. $22.00 ($20.00 + service fee).

So the doors open at 6pm, and the awards are supposed to start right at 6. I wonder if the artists will perform after the awards, or in between? I'm just trying to decide whether to get there for 6 or later? That's so early!

Gordie is playing Coachella?

Tragically Hip frontman Gord Downie announces U.S. tour
consequence of sound.com

As usual, Coachella fans have clamored incessantly for late additions this year. While Goldenvoice has little incentive to make any major changes, it’s hard to argue the latest move isn’t at least solid. As part of a spring tour, Gord Downie, lead singer of the royal-in-Canada, unknown-in-America alternative rock band The Tragically Hip, will play the third night of the sold-out annual mega-fest.

Downie joins part-time tourmates and fellow Ontarians on the Sunday bill, which falls in the center of a month-long U.S. tour. Beginning March 22nd, the tour sees Downie play the El Rey in Los Angeles (already sold out) before skipping to the other giant markets in Chicago and New York, where City and Colour will headline. Following that, Downie has four West Coast dates scheduled in April, including a spot at Coachella, which he’ll follow by skipping around the country a little more. Keep in mind that the final show is April 30th at New York’s Bowery Ballroom.

The tour is in support of Downie’s new Chris Walla-produced solo album, The Grand Bounce, out March 22nd on Cobraside. Go here for ticket information, and peep the itinerary below.

Gord Downie Tour Dates:
03/22 – Los Angeles, CA @ El Rey Theatre *
03/29 – Chicago, IL @ Park Wes t*
03/31 – New York, NY @ Webster Hall *
04/11 – Seattle, WA @ Tractor Tavern
04/12 – Portland, OR @ Doug Fir Lounge
04/14 – San Francisco, CA @ Café Du Nord
04/17 – Indio, CA @ Coachella Music Festival
04/21 – Rochester, NY @ The German House Theater
04/22 – Detroit, MI @ The Magic Bag
04/23 – Chicago, IL @ Lincoln Hall
04/28 – South Burlington, VT @ Higher Ground
04/29 – Boston, MA @ Johnny D’s
04/30 – New York, NY @ Bowery Ballroom

This is just a guess.
City and Colour are playing a free show in Toronto at Metro Hall tonight as part of the Juno's Block Party.
Since Downie is on tour with them right now and played with them the other night - maybe tonight also.
Maybe.

So, that was sort of awesome. I'm at the City & Colour show (they're not out yet); Gord finished his set a few minutes ago. Just him and an acoustic, short set but sweet, even if he was a little shaky in places. Someone in the front row has vid of the whole thing, so maybe that'll surface. I brought my camera, but couldn't use it.

Email brings me:

Quote:Unfortunately, Gord Downie has cancelled his entire tour (as of a few minutes ago) including his gig in Chicago at Lincoln Hall on April 23rd. All tickets will be refunded accordingly (not including the original $2.50 credit card fees). ... Sorry about the inconvenience but rumor has it that the reason for this cancellation is due to the recording of a new Tragically Hip album.

I got the e-mail too.

Nothing changed on his website yet though.
