Says the Habs fan. 2-0 series leading going home.....and can't win another game. That is a true shitting of the bed.

i see you're bitter too, because you're digging yourself a hole here...

1. Calgary were expected to go deep into the playoffs this year, after all, they were the defending Western Conference Champions (not to mention they were Northwest Division Champs this year too)....

some people didn't even think Montreal could make the playoffs, especially without Theodore playing on top of his game, yet, Montreal still made the playoffs, and managed to do completely without Theodore and his massive salary.

2. Montreal lost their captain, and arguably their best/hardest working player to a bullshit highstick that was never called, and the high sticking continued to go uncalled despite Koivu's injury (unless called against Montreal of course)

Calgary had Iginla for the whole round? no excuse there, and i didn't see any outright bullshit calls or missed calls in that series either...

3. Montreal played against CAROLINA, the number 2 seed in the East, a team that absolutely lit it up all year long...one of the scariest teams to play against in the league (they hammered Montreal in the regular season winning all 4 of the games between the two), a team that NOBODY wanted to have to play round 1 (or any round for that matter)

Calgary played THE DUCKS! ... THE DUCKS! no offense to Anahiem, or Anahiem fans, but they are nowhere near as good a team as Carolina...NOT EVEN CLOSE...

4. When facing elimination, Montreal played with a lot of heart and determination, and at least forced over time, only to have a puck deflect off of Craig Rivet's stick and into the net on a long distance shot that Huet otherwise would've had...

CALGARY GOT SHUTOUT! COULDN'T EVEN SCORE ONE LOUSY GOAL!

now that's what i call shitting the bed...

what happened to Montreal was just straight up shitty luck...but i'm not bitter, because they'll be an even better team next year, and they'll be able to learn from the mistakes they made...

as for Calgary, THIS WAS "NEXT YEAR" for them...AND THEY SHIT THE BED...IN THE FIRST ROUND...AGAINST THE DUCKS! LOL @ CFER!

wasn't it a known fact that calgary couldnt score goals all year though,

THANK YOU BUFFALO!

I don't think I was ever chirpy, or claim that Ottawa had more 'character', or 'grit', but I'm still here. Obviously I'm fairly unhappy about the outcome of the series so far, and have to struggle to find an ounce of hope, but what really frustrates me about this series is that while all three games could have gone either way, what let us down was our defence. Ottawa's defence has been so effective all year, and to falter the way it has in this series is just another embarrassment (at least this year, realistically, it seems the goaltender will be off the hook, as Emery should).

The fans in this city have put up with a whole lot in the last six seasons, and while I never made a claim that this team had 'more character, more grit, or more heart', this was a fantastic team that was expected to go a lot farther than it appears they will.

And your whole claim that Sens fans our minute, or non-existent is growing old. As far as I can tell, you've never lived here, never been here, and are providing an irrational argument based on a statistic you think you thought you might have heard on a radio show, which in all honesty is fairly irrelevant when what occurred after the initial ticket sales left the team second in arena capacity. This now deflated city was once extremely vibrant with Sens fever, and as I leave this forum topic with a now disgustingly cliched "We'll be back next year", I just thought you should no that you are wrong about Ottawa fans.

For the umpteenth time, I'm not a Flames fan. Sure, I wanted them to do well because I live here, but I wasn't upset when they got bounced. So I don't really give a rat's ass about what they did or didn't do. But one thing I'd like to ask - and I'm sure your pea-brain won't be able to generate a meaningful response - but how was this the Flames "next year"? Iginla is 29 and is signed long term. Kipper has a couple more years on his deal (and only turns 30 when the puck drops for the 06/07 season). Phaneuf was a rookie. Regehr is 26. Those four guys form the nucleus of this team, yet they are either in the prime of their careers or just about to be. Yet this was "next year"? Uh, OK. Nice work as always, boy wonder.

That's a loooooong list of excuses you came up with for your Habs.

FACT: they had a 2-0 series lead heading home for games 3 and 4
FACT: they lost 4 straight
FACT: el shitto le bedo

Your sob story doesn't change any of that. Deal with it.

Can't wait for your witty comeback that involves heavy usage of caps lock and/or employs some original gems like "pussy" and "cock".

You know, I didn't mean to direct this to you specifically, though I suppose it did come across that way. So, my apologies. Given the rivalry with the Leafs, watching the Sens get bounced is about as excited as I can get for these playoffs, so I made an overly exhuberant post that was mocking the things I've heard about the Sens all year - not just from you.

Wow, between this and the Radiohead thread, I've seen enough Jerry Springer to last me a few months.

You sound like a damn Sabres fan here........Fuck next year. I want it EVERY year. and yet never got "It". Damn. 1 cup. It's all I really want (well....) Just win ONCE in my lifetime.........................
Go Sabres

Well I for one loved the game last night --- watching the Sabres take their 3rd win of the series was pretty great - what topped it for me though, was watching them win in OT for the second time.

The only thing that's truly painful is I have friends that have been going to the buf games & wish like all hell, I too could be there to attend. Fifth row center ice is where I'd be sitting when they continue their current state of whoop-ass and make it to the next round.

Life is so unfair... :nooooo

way to go oilers, pulling out a 3rd OT winner. Beanmedic is happy and probably asleep on the job since he had to get up for work at 6
