been a fan forever, one of the few in the states. i was on the Ticketbastard site at 10:01 till 10:40 and nothing, nada. what a joke. how many tickets were released? tried all 4 shows in van. looks like i'm working OT. crap. i'm done now thanks.

I gave up and left it alone for almost 1/2 hour, then I came back and all of a sudden I was able to get single tickets...even though I had been trying that originally as well.

Once Ticketmaster starts cancelling the orders of those who over bought, the are released to the system again.

As far as "An Evening With..." goes, the main (first) page for all the shows in TO states NO OPENING ACT. I hope that is correct or I call Shenanigans.

Well that's a start. Still doesn't mean that we are going to get 30 songs a night, especially when this looks to be a "warm-up" mini-tour before the real deal!

2 years ago on nye it was $99 from Van to TO, that is why I did the hammer in 04.

It's a long haul from the airport as it's in the NW and the airport is NE.

Close by is an area called "Motel Village"...look in there for rooms. There are a lot of hotels/motels there.

I got 2 November 4th for Commodore.

I got one hell of music week.
Oct 27th to Oct 30th Vegoose Festival
Oct 30 - International Guitar Night in vancouver
Oct 31st - Halloween
Nov 3rd - International Guitar Night in Victoria
Nov 4th - Hip at Commodore (show #25!)

And I may be at Birdge school Oct 21 & 22nd- w00t!

BTW, "a long haul" in Calgary terms is 20 minutes. In Vancouver that would get you four blocks closer to your destination.

i'm still pissed..i thought that maybe it was just because i didn't get tix..but i think that the system is a joke...it's total bullshit..how does this system help a die-hard fan like myself? somebody who's been following the band from day one...it doesn't..a hip club might...a paid club..but this is total bullshit..any jackass can register to the website for free the day of the tix going on sale, and beat me to it...fuck

I was able to get 2 for the Thurs. 26th TO show.

That was the date I wanted, went for it and got through on the first try.

Ticketmaster can really suck at times and I have been shut out before, but for all those times, I was due for some luck.

Oh yeah...nothing like those service charges! :thumb:

Anyways...the public onsale will provide a majority of the tix, but they too will go fast. Good luck and see you there!
