Dana. I've never met you. But I hope the Hip gods will forever shine upon in the quest for tickets.
Godspeed Dana.
Thanks Sean.

I wonder if ticketmaster.com will allow presage tix. When I logged in to the .ca site it told me I had to change my profile. Probably a stupid concern. But I don't trust ticketbastard to work in our favor.

I'm anxious about the gap between the ticket sales and the start of the tour... two months. A lot can happen in two months. I'm trying to be optimistic.

Did anyone see this on the Ticketmaster website. Should help keep tickets away from the scalpers. Toronto show has a limit of 4 tickets. $56 - $166 per ticket.
SELECT LOCATIONS are Credit Card Entry ONLY. Please click here for more information on Credit Card Entry.
•Credit Card Entry tickets for this event are NON TRANSFERABLE.
•At ENTRY you must provide the CREDIT CARD USED TO PURCHASE AND VALID PHOTO ID.
•Entire party MUST enter the venue at the same time.

If the password is given out 12 hours before the sale, it will be known by everyone who wants to know it by 10am on Monday which frankly will make Monday just like a general onsale but with far fewer tickets being made available at that time....the only way you can limit this type of thing is if everyone is sent a randomly generated password (some bands do it this way) that can only be used once for purchase, in that case it's harder to make multiple purchases with a random 10character code as opposed to something like "machine" being the password which everyone tells their friends or posts online on FB on Sunday night.....not trying to freak anyone out here, but don't be surprised if Mondays on-sale is basically done in 5 minutes or less....the demand is too high especially for shows in Toronto and Kingston, in fact almost all hotel rooms are already booked up in Kingston now.....

On the TM site there are various levels of pre-sale:
May 30th Fan Club
May 31st Front of the Line American Express
June 2nd Live Nation Mobile App
June 2nd Live Nation/Facebook
A Hip set list is like a box of chocolates..you never know which one you're going to get.

ryan93 Wrote:Since there are no Maritime dates, really wish I could take in the Kingston show, especially with it being the Saturday night of PEI's long weekend in August. My wife will be 7 months pregnant at the time though, so I guess I will have to end up passing. I can't believe that I will never see The Hip live again
Best of luck to everyone with the presales!
Still can't believe it, the past few days have been hard. I've been watching live Hip/Gord videos every night, and listening to only Hip everyday in the car. It never sounded so good!
What Maritime shows did you get to? I bet we were at several of the same ones.

I'm on my phone and in the middle of a mall so correct me if I'm mistaken, but it looks like a second date in Edmonton was added, or they screwed up.
