I hate to say this but, honestly, both Streets Ahead and At Transformation completely and utterly bore me.

They both sound like someone took a template for what a Tragically Hip song is and just made the most generic version of that. There is nothing here that grabs me as interesting or new nor do either of those songs really capture the old spirit either.

It really sounds like just going through the motions to me.

I hate to say that, because I love the band, but that's just how I feel. Maybe it's just me.

Hmmm, Streets Ahead sounds very interesting, intense drumming by Johnny

VERY different artwork from what I was expecting (or we're used to from TTH)!

it's not that the songs are bad. . . .it's just the they had it mastered with every single track at 11...there's no depth. every instrument/voice is at full throttle.

the songs are good though. i'm just happy to have a break from B. Rock. even if this is what i have to settle for

It looks like a Death Cab For Cutie album.

I liked At Transformation, not feeling Streets Ahead so much - but then again I didn't like it that much live either.

Sorry if I missed this somewhere else, but does Drip Drip have a different name now or is it a no-go?

I agree, but I think the songs aren't very good and are made worse by this. I was going to complain about the mastering as well, but I figured I didn't want to complain about too much. Wink

Drip Drip sounded really great when I heard it live. It would be so sad if that song got cut in favour of these generic songs.

Album cover reminds me of what Collective Soul did a while back with Youth, which was a big departure from their prior covers. Maybe trying too hard to be "hip"? (no pun intended)

"We Want To Be It" is one of the lines in the chorus. I'm guessing that song is what we've been calling "Drip Drip Drip."
