The Tragically Hip - Live and Intimate from the Bathouse Stu

Does Eastern Canada work under different entertainment regulations or something? Why do bands rarely tour this part of the land, and why wouldn't cinemas in Halifax, St. Johns or whatnot get this? It's maddening that cities such as Ancaster, Coquitlam and Mission grabbed this but other cities were shunned. Nothing against the fine folks in those cities, and I'm unsure of the populations, but really. Something seems askew.
I don't get it either.
I know that some theaters arent set up for live broadcasts, but I know we show live Opera and also WWE Events at our local theatre.

Is New Brunswick (and the other provinces... they're names escape me right now), just an afterthought?

the other names of the Atlantic provinces escape you? Confusedcratch:

and yes, anything east of quebec is definitely an afterthought.

From the original description on thehip.com it started this thing was being presented by Cineplex Entertainment. The above list seems to confirm their exclusivity, as every one of those theatres are part of the Cineplex group. So since Cineplex doesn't have any theatres east of Quebec, you all get screwed...

This was a Jeopardy answer recently. Any 'baser's know it's meaning without Googling it?

I was just kidding around with the whole "Maritimes are an afterthought" thing.
My joke seems to fall into this category:

Yeah. I googled it after making that post. My wife is a newfie and she's let out some real gems. Most of the time I can figure out what they mean but some times... well... I think this lil' guy sums it up nicely: Confusedcratch:

Very cool.
Americans (and, if I'm reading this right, Quebecois) need not apply: "Contest is open to legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) who are at least fourteen (14) years of age as of March 12, 2009."
