Did any other neurotic people think the scary thought that this big-ass extended tour is some kind of swan song? These type of thoughts enter my head often...

It's funny you mention that mastodonfarm. I hadn't had that thought until about 2 days ago, when it just popped in my head suddenly.
Things that make you go hmm...

My theory has been that the Hip are interested in doing as many US dates as they can before the "passport/boarder crossing" issues gets resolved. Most fans might not want to deal with the hassles of that stuff to cross over for shows...hmm
I think the Hip will carry on for several years/albums/tours but the US might be SOL in the future. Us Americans might have to see the band in Ontario. I for one would certainly obtain whatever I need to cross into Canada and see them...
my 2 cents anyways...

Funny thing, I have thought to myself " 30 years and have gotten as big as they can" " whats next?" Yes I figured that mabey they might call it a day for a while and then resurface a few years down the road for a "make love agian" tour. But I sure hope that next summer they would do , "weekend long camp overs" where all us fans get to pay 2 times the price and spend a weekend camping in tents together to watch 2 shows over 2 nights, and the band plays no song 2 times. Now that would be a great farewell if they were even thinking of one. Not an extended tour.

Anyone with "sources" have a sense of whether the Rochester dates will close out this leg of the tour -- or could there still be some more popping up on into November?
I suppose it would be kind of poetic if they end their U.S. dates in Rochester after starting their non-Who dates there in March.

I too just bought Boston tix and then the Rochester shows came up...but its all good...I'm looking at it as an excuse to go Boston, and hey...more HIP. Speaking of the Roch shows...should we start a thread keeping people alert of on sale info? If its anything like the Buffalo Mach shows tix will be gone FAST!
