Last Night I Dreamt You Didn't Love Me is winding down right now. This makes up for the lousy day of hawking clothes, hands down.
Favourite lyric so far is in Pretend: "If I ask you a question are you gonna lie to me /Is that your question, 'cause in that case that's easy"
Or something like that. Also, there's a mention of the Right Whale in Kids, which I believe was one of the video pieces on the DVD.
I like this. A lot. It's going to be a good night methinks.

:thumb: :thumb: THANK YOU VERY MUCH! It reminded me of a song but it was killing me because I couldn't remember the song. That's it. The beginning is very reminscent of "Daysleeper". Actually, the whole song has similarities as well. Good observation.

The first thing that the song made me think of, maybe because of the piano, was Boomtown Rats' "I don't like mondays"
but that was only one listen ago, and Monday was a holiday. I'll check for updates.
this album will be interesting to hear in its full headphoney experience, me thinks

The same is true for me if I try to get it from thehip.com. But if you take it from one of the radio station websites, it works....a little choppy at first but you just have to drag the needle back to the beginning of Ocean after the buffering gets caught up.
Good call...worked like a charm once it had a chance to load enough of the stream.
So far sounds like a good album, but I have only had a chance to listen to the first 5ish songs. I will say that Lovsic has a Vapour Trails "cool" kinda sound to it.

On the whole, the most thoughtful track order of any album yet.
I think it's Gord's strongest album vocally. The arrangements are all great, so many of those tingly-hair-standing-up-shiver moments.
The lyrical overlap was really interesting, it makes the album much more listenable as one entity, which I find was a problem with previous albums; the songs could be taken out of context way too easily.
Can't wait to start hearing some more of these live!

oops i feel bad- ive listened to the album for about 2 hours now. ill close it out and let other hear.
