Or... (stay with me here) ... you could go to the concert when the doors open and give these bands a chance. And what if you don't enjoy one single song they play? Well, there are plenty of people to talk to (scores of Hip fans), there's a beertent and lots of other little vendor shops to check out at the venue. You don't need to park yourself in the crowd and wait (un)patiently for the Hip to come on.

This Festival is all about diversity of Canadian musical talent. I don't know what's "cooler" or what could have made it any less of a "disappointment", but I think the bands will put on a good show.

As for Controller. Controller, well, I've never actually heard of them. :oops: . But this is what opening acts are all about. Unheard of bands trying to get their stuff out there. Who knows, I could end up loving them.

Sounds good so far and I'm looking forward to seeing what other acts may be announced. :thumb:

Sweeet.... its looking like there is good number of hipbasers comming out... I think we should set the SOUTH beer tent as the meeting place... it will be on your left, when you come in the gates form the parking area...and looking at the stage... now someone decide on a time... i will be heading to the show around 6 or so... since I have to work til 5pm that day.

Ovations website says the hip will hit the stage around 9pm...
