Flames 3, Greasers 0. Now THAT'S more like it! Iggy finally scored, the PP finally scored, the PK was solid, and Kipper looked like his old self. I love it!

Attention JFJ bashers:

Lindros + Allison + O'Neill ($4,550,000 in salaries) = 21 pts
Nieuwendyk + Roberts ($4,500,000 in salaries) = 3 pts

So long as they all stay healthy, they look like great pick-ups for the Leafs. Lindros has been playing like he did back in his pre-concussion days in Philadelphia. O'Neill had the hattrick against Atlanta and I was impressed with Allison's prowess with the puck last night. Let's see where all this goes. As I am every year, I'm along for the ride.

Lindros played great when he was with the Rangers too. But he was surrounded by overpaid and undermotivated hacks. That was a non playoff team every year he was there yet he ended up being a + player in his tenure there.

Allison is starting to get his timing back after such a long layoff and O'Neill is playing hungry. One regulation loss in six games without Captain Clutch is a pretty nice way to start the season.

Not only that (which is pretty good to start with), but it looks like the Eagle is starting to get his groove on... he looked good last night, especially late in the third when the Habs were putting some pressure on.

So despite losing Mats early in the first game, the Leafs have one one-goal loss to the Habs (which we avenged with the win on Saturday), two shootout losses to the Sens (and note that the Leafs are the only team to play the Sens close so far this year) and now three straight wins. I know it's early in the season, but I like how the Leafs are performing so far, and hopefully more good things will come.

Great comeback against Boston tonite! GO HABS!

I have to say what a game, the pace was frantic, end to end, breakaways tons of scoring chances..I love the "new" NHL so far. Other than the constant parade to the penalty box its great hockey. I understand why they are trying to clean up the game with all the calls, so hopefully once the players adjust it will ease up a bit, but special teams are going to be crucial this year.

Imagine a world before the "beginning was the word.”

Great game indeed, though i have to say the refs let up a bit. Quite a few calls were missed or overlooked. They need to stay consistent, it's the only way players will learn to keep their stick on the ice.

The hawks are drastically improved. One of the best goalies in the league and a group of young guys that will be given direction by some solid vets like Lapointe and Aucoin. Who is gonna beat them out? Detroit? Toronto? Colorado? Please. Geriatric lineups man. I'll take your action any day of the week!

The Canucks are gonna win the Cup? Really? Did they trade Cloutier? I must have missed that.

If Eddie was 78 years old, blind in one eye, and in a wheelchair I'd still take him over an "in the prime of his youth" Cloutier. Hell, I'd take my rec league goalie over Cloutier. I'd take Terry Sawchuk's corpse over Cloutier. I'd.......OK, you get the point.
