Last song played on this tour in Kingston

Total longshot:

The Lookahead

A bit of a high note, and it is one of the songs for his wife that was forward-looking...

I'm not sure I could handle being in public hearing Gord say "Give me that lookahead"

They tend to be ending with the big boys: ABAC, Fiddlers, Bob, NOIS, Poets, Grace... but they have not ended with Courage yet (based on my quick look, I could be wrong)...

Courage would be fitting, and it would give over one minute of band instrumental time for Gord to be on stage and soak it all in...

Him? Here? Now? No?

Yes ... It has been the song of this tour and they just test drove it as a closer for Toronto3. I'm sticking with Grace Too to close down Kingston.

jesus...after watching that in person last night...how can it not be ?

unreal the love and emotion being exchanged during this song

i don't know the song, but i think it will be a "hit" ie: Blow, NOIS, etc. .. something loud and something everyone will know and can sing along with

I thought it would be World Container, but unless they stray from the setlist format, Grace, Too or ABAC is far more likely.

guys, you keep going through all of their songs trying to find the most poignant lyrics for the final song. do you really thing they are putting that much thought into it?

or are you all just having fun guessing what the "perfect" final song is?

So many great options:

World Container

Another Midnight

The Lookahead

Last American Exit

Wheat Kings

I agree, it's likely to be a rocker. I think they want to conclude this show in a raucous way.

But I wouldn't disqualify a lesser known track like World Container. The whole world will be watching. If this is a new song to Joe Public, so be it. Let them expand their horizons.

What's the deal with your dad?
He don't even know my name
Didn't know he'd be back
Didn't know we'd been bad
No one stayed to share the blame

I didn't mean to do that
She won't even come around
Everytime I look back
Didn't realize that
I was better off then now

Mothers came and cried for Abel
Brother Cain survived the century's end (
All the time that I thought was my friend
Be all right till we get back again

Heaven knows you are right
They won't never drag you down
There ain't time to lose sight
Getting lost in the light
Is more than never being found

Mothers came and cried for Abel
Brother Cain survived the century's end
All the time that I thought was my friend
Be all right till we get back again

We never could go back
And I could never leave my home
Why'd they change your face like that?
If I'd never seen you
I could always dream
That I'd be better off alone

Mothers came and cried for Abel
Brother Cain survived the century's end
All the time that I thought was my friend
Be all right till we get back again

Be all right till we get back again
Be all right till we get back again

I mean...it'd work almost too well, wouldn't it?

This. God damn.
