I've come around on this a fair bit having now heard the entire album a few times. This one's light years better than backspacer. Sirens and even mind your manners have grown on me a lot over the last while as well. Very pleasantly surprised considering their last few efforts. Infallible, Pendulum and Getaway are the front runners for me right now.

Backspacer was good, i liked it better than Avacado, which was still good too tho. All PJ is good.

meh. Backspacer and self titled..... far from good. Just paint by numbers PJ, IMO.
Lightning Bolt though shows a lot of promise and is the first time I've been excited for any new PJ studio music in over 10 years. Live's always been a different story, they're live show's always been consistently great. Though over the last few records I've been pretty meh on the new songs at their shows. This upcoming show though, I'm excited to see the new stuff live.

Love PJ. I played 10 to destruction. The new album song "Sirens" is really good. Classic PJ if you ask me.
