Just listened to Morning Moon for the first time. Wow, what a beautiful song! I love the idea of starting the album off with an acoustic track, which is something they've never done before. Great song. Gorgeous lyrics. Gord's voice sounds fantastic and the production is absolutely perfect. It sounds a bit more raw than the last album. World Container had much more of that Bob Rock polish/sheen to it. This track sounds like it was done pretty much live-off-the-floor, which is a very good sign. I had a feeling that if they got Bob into the Bathouse to produce this record, he'd be inspired by the rustic nature of the studio and record the band accordingly. Thumbs up!

or bob rock

I'm still not convinced that there is a 6th person. It's hard to tell but it may just be an object on the far right, not a person.

Great song though.

Although I tend to agree that Bob Rock could ruin a peanut butter sandwich just by touching it, I do love this song it sounds great and its no "In View" thank goodness.

Imagine a world before the "beginning was the word.”

I have listened to MM over and over this evening as I read through this thread. God, I love this band!
To whoever said this would sound great on vinyl, I couldn't agree more!

It always seems that The Hip's albums are always just long enough to fit on a vinyl record, hopefully thie year we will see some action in that department. Jesus, M@W, IBE and WATS on vinyl would be awesome!

Who do you think is referred to when Gord says ...

"it doesn't take too much to upset her"
