I have not been keeping up with this thread and 8 pages is a bit much to read through. I've been skipping it because the Hipbase private show sure wouldn't be anywhere near me. But I really hope that, if it happens, it'll be when school's not in because this would be so incredible that I might hitch a ride up there for it!!

any update on the show, it's now almost the end of february, i would think if anything was going to happen for the spring or early summer, the planning would have be in full gear asap.

I'm wondering if there's an update too. If they're planning the upcoming tour now, this would be a good time to hit'em up about this show.

For myself, coming from out west, I need quite a bit of notice as I have to submit my holidays by tertial. I already need to book off Canada Day long weekend for a wedding and Labor Day long weekend for the World Cup in Montreal. Tack on the obligatory minimum-five shows for the upcoming tour and that doesn't leave alot of days left to fly back east for this show.

This is obviously a long-shot, but please try for the end of August/beginning of September (:lol: haha very funny I know). I'm going to Montreal!

Love to see the TH again, it having been almost 5 years.
If a private show is arranged, I'd be happy to attend and contribute.

In the alternative, as I've done with friends for other groups (Phil Lesh and Friends, Government Mule), why not just choose to get a bunch of rooms in the same hotel for a run of shows?

Like JazzFest, Bonnaroo, or any other festival, it would be a great gathering...the secret being the agreed upon consipircy of souls.

Hello All:
I was one of the people working with Mats on this project. We wrote the proposal, he gave it to the HIP's management, I heard he had been in touch with Feldman, then I've heard nothing more. I would like him to contact me, because the contacts I provided (Camp Trillium ) are sort of waiting in anticipation? I'm willing to continue on trying to push the business proposal through, but would like to know where Mats is at with it. If anyone knows him personally, and can talk to him, please ask him to contact me so we can get going with this.

i agree, the time is now, i'm sure the hip's management is currently negotiating dates and venues to play. i think if this is going to happen they would want to play a gig for us before they tour, sort of a warmup gig before the tour. Where are you Matt, please provide us with an update. If you need help doing anything on this project just let me know.

OK, I guess now is when I could use some help.
I have heard from Sam Feldman's agents and rec'vd the form to book the band. If anyone on here is still interested please get in touch. They do ask for half of the payment, I'm not a rich person, so any creative ideas on getting this happening would be appreciated.
