Wow, what a night for Mats Sundin. He just made an absolute beautiful pass to Darcy Tucker, who missed...puck comes right back to Sundin, who makes an almost identical play out front to a pinching Tomas Kaberle, who wins it in OT. 6 points (4 goals 2 assists) for Mats Sundin.

What a stretch by Mats....a Jagr-esque 18 points in his last 9 games. The time he's been needed the most, and he's stepped up his game big time. If only he had some decent talent around him..... :x

I lost a lot of respect for Nieuwendyk and Roberts for deciding to play in Florida for a few more bucks than they could have made in Toronto, but I think it was great of Nieuwendyk to say this about Mats:

Thats great that Sundin has all those points now that the season is over. Where was Sundin and all of the other knob jockeys on his team for the first 70 games? CFern...if I wasn't such a huge Leafs Fan I'd probably be in the same boats as Opiated, Tiger, Tommy and Douglas...but even I sometimes laugh at your arguments (20-30 games to adjust to a visor). He comes across as pretty hockey-savvy and that is a pretty weak argument - which leads me to believe he's joking. Of course, re-reading his post, he seems to be serious... The Canucks are now officially eliminated from the playoffs and deservedly so. Hopefully this means a big shakeup in Van city.

I hope to goodness Thornton doesn't get MVP. He tied Jagr tonight for most points. 54 and 68 assists to me is better than 28 goals and 94 assists. Anyway, that's just me.

95% of people polled think he's a geek so it could have been anybody. The other 5% were Leaf fans. They put the #13 on geeks, name him captain and then call him a god when he starts scoring after the season is over. Looks good in his prescription visor and orthopedic skates though.
