When you're playing a home game and the opposing team's fans buy up 75% of the tickets and then the team's goon knocks out your hottest player with a cheap shot (no matter what the league says, it was cheap, if it would of happened to the leafs, a sabres player would have been suspended, look what just happened to the flyers) you get a little bothered.
Not to mention, Buffalo is a small market town and we love to watch big money teams fail. Money is taking over pro sports and its nice to prove that you can't buy a championship. What is the Leaf's payroll this year?
The only thing that is puzzling is why there are so many Yankees fans in Buffalo?
We also dislike Montreal and Ottawa in Buffalo. I was in attendance when we swept them '98 - Montreal round 2, '99 - Ottawa round 1, what memories!

Yes, there is a salary cap, and look who is at the top.
If we could leave NY state, believe me this city would, the state does nothing but bring us down!
I've been to 20 sabres games this year at $21 a ticket, I could have sold my leafs tickets to those morons for $100 each!

Just finished watching the Islanders/Rangers game, i almost feel asleep trying to watch the first half of the game, no energy at the Garden at all, and the Rangers, the first shift aside, came out flat. They were horrible for the first 40 minutes & the Islanders took advantage and took a 3-0 lead into the 3rd. The Rangers looked like an entirely different team in the 3rd though as they dominanted play, and pulled within 3-2, but despite a number of great chances, couldn't beat DP to tie it up.
Rangers have 6 regulars injured right now, and very important players at that. The #1 goaltender Henrik LUndqvist, two top 6 forwards in Martin Rucinsky and Steve Rucchin, and 3 top 6 defensemen in Darius Kasparaitis, Tom Poti and Marek Malik.
And finally...both Joe Nieuwendyk & Mats Sundin with hattricks so far tonight, game all tied at 4 - should be a good finish.

Wow, what a night for Mats Sundin. He just made an absolute beautiful pass to Darcy Tucker, who missed...puck comes right back to Sundin, who makes an almost identical play out front to a pinching Tomas Kaberle, who wins it in OT. 6 points (4 goals 2 assists) for Mats Sundin.

Just got digital TV w/ Leaf's TV 2 weekends ago.......makes it all worth it!
4 goals & 2 assists...his best game of the season by far!
J.S. had a hard night, but the Leafs have now taken 14 of the last 16 possible points, and haven't given up.
It was mentioned at the beginning of the game, that the 1959 Leafs got into the playoffs, winning the last game of the season.
Here's hoping for a repeat :thumb:

Too bad you weren't there when Montreal swept Buffalo in '93 and then won the Stanley Cup, what memories!

Flames 3, Ducks 0. Kipper with another shutout. I believe we can clinch the division with a win against Colorado on Thursday night.
GO FLAMES!!!
