Sweet comeback by Hayward: "When I played, you were in your third year of eighth grade."
Good for Brian for giving it to that clown. Avery is a twat and needs to be taken down a few pegs.
Imagine a world before the "beginning was the word.”

Boooo!!! So much for my earlier prediction. The Flames looked a bit tired in the first period and got into penalty trouble, resulting in the first two Vancouver goals. It was fun watching the 'Nucks crap the bed in the 3rd period like they did, but I gotta give 'em full marks for hanging on for the OT win. I still don't think they're gonna make the playoffs, but ya never know. Those two games they have coming up against San Jose are gonna be HUGE.
By the way, with their point tonight, the Flames are officially invited to the big dance. Next up, the division title! GO FLAMES!!!

The East is pretty much set now, Ottawa, Carolina and New York will be the top 3 seeds in will have home ice advantage against Tampa Bay, New Jersey and Montreal respectively, it's just a matter of who plays who. Buffalo will be playing the Philadelphia Flyers.
West is still very much wide open, with the exception of the top few seeds as Deroit, Dallas and likely Calgary are set as 1-2-3. Vancouver will be in tough, but they are definitely still in the thick of things. Just looking at the standings, especially with San Jose having 2 games in the hand it looks like Edmonton would be the team the Canucks would have to take out...but they have 2 games against San Jose this week, so needless to say the Canucks fate is in their own hands.

Hoping Buffalo can hold onto the 4 spot for home ice. Bring on the Flyers (just not their PP!)...although it is not definite yet...it's getting close to a sure thing.
Go Sabres!

why must the Oilers shit the bed so close to playoff time?
I know it's tradition and all to let all the Oiler fans get ulcers and heart-attacks and whatnot....but enough is enough.
One year, I want a comfortable playoff spot.

st. louis is ruining their chances of being the worse in the league, and a better chance at the 1st overall pick
