this video is great plus having my daughter ( 19 months old) tell me that ( gord) was brushing his teeth and then on the phone is great , then she starts to dance we have another hip fan kids

I laughed out loud a few times... Yes, Gord's face when he is about to steal the cell phone is priceless haha.
But when I saw the video, I honestly thought that it couldn't actually be the video for "In View".
I guess it's just because it's sooo unique. I personally like it, but yeah, it really doesn't seem like the non-Hip fan would like it, which is contrary to the song. In View as a song probably appeals to more people than just diehards like us, but the video is way too weird.

i have no real love for this video - its just meh. It adds nothing to the song itself, it doesnt have the rest of the band, but it is kinda funny at points.

Correct?
Is there anywhere IN the video that refers to China Town?
Or are we to think it is an Asian country?

I've never been to Asia, but I would assume that they don't have the English translation of businesses under the signs. I also think Gord is in Chinatown, and she is in Shanghai...hence, Gord just waking up and it being night where she is.
