problembear Wrote:Gently breathing, lit by the morning sun
Through the night it'd been raining venom (One live version says, "I know all night, for us, it was raining venom." Another says "for you")
I want to be kind
Not a bullet in the right place
Or just of two minds
More important than important
I want to help you lift enormous things
A pinch, a sting, I don't feel a thing
And as the Earth revolves around the sun
I know those shadows maintaining the last rites
And in our dream of being, here comes the night ("And do I dream of being, here comes the night" on a couple of others)
All of the tiptoeing
Past all of those ??steel?? (maybe "austere") buildings
I only say this now because I didn't when it was happening
I want to help you lift enormous things
A pinch, a sting, I don't feel a thing
And as the Earth revolves around the sun
I can see it all at once
And, oh, what a glittering chance
In my head the game goes quiet
I can see it all once
???? you're not that good
I'll ??kill/kick??? you for the ????
But in my head the game goes quiet
Oh what a glittering chance, Oh what a glittering chance
At transformation, oooh at transformation
It's my dream of being
That's my dream of being
It's my dream of being

I await being made a fool when the lyrics booklet comes out.

Whaaaat dude are you kidding me? That's a killer title.
Totally unexpected. Unconventional. That's the best thing about this band. They don't keep trying the same things. It's always about the new. If the new is off the wall, then you know what, for a band of 30 years, all I can say is goddamn thank you for trying.
I get why they're calling it what they are; it's a return to their roots, back to basics, etc.
But really, where's the clever, literate side of the band? A title like In Between Evolution leaves a bit of mystery, whereas And Now For Plan A is just so obvious. Every single interview they'll do beforehand will talk about how the band is getting "Back to their roots," and it'll become a stale concept.

... And regarding At Transformation, I do not think this is a return to older albums at all. This song almost sounds like it could have been an outtake from any of the last three albums.
