If only "Day For Night" had been released as a double record, as opposed to single, it would sound just as awesome.

What is the difference between a double and single?

From what I've always understood, the heavier or thicker the vinyl, the richer the sound is. If DFN was a double, there would be less songs per record, giving you a richer sounding DFN, which would be the cats ass!

If you're tech savy you can get turntables that can make mp3 or wav files that you can dump on to your computer and ipod. I've heard conflicting reports about the quality (maybe someone here can give their 2 cents on this) but I plan on checking some out this summer.

My turntable has a USB output and the sound on it is lovely, really nice quality!

Thanks Matty, what kind of turntable do you have? I was checking out an audio technica that I've heard nothing but good things about. It's basic, no flashy shit, and around 200 bucks.

Also, with summer approaching, keep your eyes on flea markets and garage sales where good deals can be had on great old turntables, many are not bad, just obsolete for the household. I was at a flea market yesterday and none of the turntables at the "audio store" were over $40 and there were several recognizable names.

And thanx for the info.

Mine's an ION, picked it up about 18 months ago for £80 on Amazon marketplaces. It's not bad, I could do with upgrading the needle though, really.

My WATS finally came today.

4 I would assume, it says with each copy, but I don't know if we even get LFTV with the vinyl.

Well, the LFTV 4 is listed on the vinyl page when you order - so we shall see.

Did the people who got the pre-ordered vinyl recieve LFTV4 copies aswell?

My vinyl arrived today, and LFTV4 was not with it... I've sent an email to Maple asking for clarification. And since it was a pre-order deal, the ordering page is no longer the same.... :rambo:

I got my WATS LP today. with a special card in it for a digital copy of the album to download. Im wondering if IM supposed to get teh LFTV 4 at a later date.
Good thick album.

I also have an ION record player that hooks up to my computer and records my LPs into MP3 or WAV files.
Also got 2 other record players that I dont use really all that much.

[MattyM]

My copy of Up To Here arrived today... it sounds sweet!

I just got a response from MapleMusic about why my vinyl didn't come with the LFTV4 CD as pictured on the ordering page:

Hello,

On the ordering page, when I placed this order, it indicated that I would receive Live From The Vault 4 however it was not in the package with my album when it arrived today.

Please let me know when I will receive it.

Thank you,

Chris

I never got the impression that LFTV IV came with the vinyl, which is why i pre-ordered both...

[thinkdontpray]

absolutely NO WHERE did it state that the live from the vault 4 cd did not come with the WATS vinyl, only the cd version

fucking bullshit

Exactly.

So what do I do now, if I want LFTV on disc? Go buy another copy of the album at Future Shop as part of the Krate? I already have two copies of the CD (from Cineplex), and one Vinyl...

[thinkdontpray]

im just downloading it. i'll be fucked if im going to buy something else to get it. i already have 2 copies of the thing on cd and 4 copies of it on vinyl. so piss on it, im downloading it.

not angry at the boys in the least, just maple music and their farce of a site. may as well call it "stoner's pot palace"
