That's why I said from what I understood, the news show that I saw didn't talk of that side of the story.

That was my next point after I though about it. No one prescribed to her that it was healthy to binge and purge, and also if they couldn't figure out what was wrong, cleary she didn't tell anyone what she was doing.

A routine blood test shows what your potassium level is.

Again... what I'm saying is that the Dr. had failed to diagnose the hypokalemia (potassium imbalance).

Sorry - I don't want to offend people, but I'm glad the whole ordeal is over with for her family & husband's sake.
I know it doesn't change anyone's hearts and minds on the "mercy killing" topic, but we've (the public) have been bombarded by this story non-stop when it should have been between the families, their lawyers, and the judges all along.
Sorry again for offending.

There has only ever been one issue: what she would have wanted. And the courts and lawyers got involved only because the parties could not agree. That's what courts and lawyers are for.

None of us knew Terri Schiavo, so it was never really any of our business.

I'm just posting it because there were a few posts discussing what actually took place with regard to Terri's care, the malpractice suit, the families' behaviour and so on. If nothing else it makes for fascinating reading for those who are legally inclined.

I would be careful of taking anything that is not the orginal brief of the court as being accurate. People do change things on their sites.
