Chris, thanks for putting this Hip tracker together. This is a great project. I just checked the site, and all my stats are there. Keep up the good work... :thumb:

Clicking on the links from the tracker page doesn't seem to work, but follow the links throughout this post to the files. They work just fine.

I've discovered after downloading/uploading the 2 Boston shows, that your ratio doesn't change until you end the transmissions (close the torrent).

Save the linked file to your hard drive. It is the torrent file. :thumb:

I have encountered a problem on Chris' All New Hip Tracker, the Idea Hotel. Here it is:

I am a properly registered member of the tracker. When I login the tracker says that I am online. AOL is my Internet Provider and every time I sign on to AOL I receive a different IP address. When I click on the link to d/l a bit torrent I receive the error message "Rejected by tracker - Unrecognized host (xxx.xxx.xx.x). Please go to <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://tracker.ideahotel.com">http://tracker.ideahotel.com</a><!-- m --> to sign up or login". Again, this is after I am already recognized and logged onto the tracker.

I have already passed this problem on to Chris and he is trying to solve it, but he's unsure if he can. Does anyone have a good grip on this technology that could help out Chris and I?

are, at least for myself, are completly bogus. I have uploaded a heck of a lot more than 256.36 MB, I had a share ratio on Boston 8/10/98 show of over 2.0. I have no idea what is going on, I leave my client, Azureus, on 24/7 and I keep seeding the shows I have downloaded.

I don't get it, I don't want to be seen as a leecher...I long to be a member, in good standing, of the Tragically Hip bit torrent community.

I find them a little ponderous as well. I'm not connected 24/7, but everyday since I registered I've had Azureus running roughly from 7 AM until 6 PM and 11 PM until 5 AM. That's about 17 hours a day. I only shut down Azureus when I'm connected to my office network or working with A/V files.

I'm fanatical about extended seeding as long as the torrent is active, so I hope the numbers will eventually straighten out.

Make sure that you are seeding, not SUPER-Seeding. Only the person who was/is the original seed should be in super-seed mode. That might have something to do with it. Additionally, try stopping the torrents that you are seeding, quit Azureus, and log out of the tracker. Now log back in to the tracker, and see if the stats have updated.

I use Azureus and everything has been working fine for me.
