i think it'd be more appropriate for the absolute last song they play, now, imagiine how kick ass it would be if they opened with 38 years old!?!?!?!?!?! wouldn't that be insane?

I think it would be pretty amazing to have Blow as the opener. Could you even imagine? The first line of the show..."they shot a movie once...in my hometown!" I think the city would just explode.
but LTR has to be there too. for sure.

I have always wished they would open a show I have been to with Blow.
That would be an amazing way to kick it off.

Kicking off Edgefest 2003 with Fire In The Hole really set the tone for that show. I think Blow would have the same effect, especially if Gord started out the show by saying, "This next song's called 'Blow Me'!"
I can't remember what bootleg that is from, by I use it all the time.

Isn't that from that Twist My Arm Europa single, think it was a Europa single? think its also on that Boston 94 CD, just added as filler....

Well, we're a diverse and complicated group! 53 songs in total. No clear run away, but we do have a winner, and a surprise #3.
Here's the Hipbase "Please Mr. Sinclair, add this to the list" top 3 for Kingston on Sept 12:
#1 Escape is at Hand for the Travellin' Man (7)
#2 Get Back Again (6)
#3 She Didn't Know (5)
And if we collectively wrote the setlist, top to bottom, with the best saved for last, it would look something like this:
VS
Grace (Based on the other openner thread)
Yawning (2)
Where (2)
Thugs (2)
Something (2)
Opiated (2)
Greasy (2)
Flamenco (2)
Everytime (2)
Wolf (2)
Cordelia (2)
Pistols (2)
Vapour (3)
Tiger (3)
Longtime (3)
Fight (3)
Blow (3)
Sherpa (3)
Pigeon (4)
Locked (4)
----------------------------------------------------
Penguin (4)
38 years Old (4)
She Didn't Know (5)
-----------------------------------------------------
Get Back (6)
Escape (7)
How's THAT for a show?
We're the best.

Can you imagine seeing that played?????
That would be amazing. I dont know what I would'nt give to see that!
Gord Sinclair, if you are lurking within the Hip Base, please right that down to paper. That would be the most legendary show ever!
Thanks, Dame, for figuring it out!

That's kinda funny seeing as though they're promoting the new album and that setlist only has VS on it. Ya shoulda just started with IBE songs being already on the set and then adding in the top ones voted for...

anyone who votes for Blow and/or NOIS needs to give their head a serious shake. NOIS is just plain shit. always has... always will be. the only reason it is so popular is becuase of the "rants".
Blow, has been way overplayed. it has closed countless shows in the last 3 or so years.
also, who wants to hear song from the post-PP era? not me. i want to hear some oldies. stuff like "i'll believe in you, yawning or snarling, inch an hour, thugs, looking for a place to happen, 3 pistols, figh, twhen the weight comes down, etc.
so, my 3 picks would be:
looking for a place to happen
3 pistols
on the verge
