As for MP3...Just about everyone who ever visits this site is going to buy the album, but once the MP3 of this song gets out there is that much less incentive for the casual fan to purchase. I don't know why people still debate this crap.
Morning Moon is by far the most "produced" song The Hip have ever had! I like it, it's catchy, but don't see it ever being a great concert staple and leaves me a bit leery about what the rest of the album has to offer.

Haha I'm doing the same on my campus, except I'm wearing a World Container jersey (and I'm not in a foreign films lab).
You guys are the same...

Also...
this is fairly close...
This one is for you
and it goes on and on and on
when nothing seems to do
for when the doubtless and the wrong
ask; 'can I help you?'
in that way that says, 'I can't'
or claim we're all the same
just inconsistant
or pretend all understanding
turned out to be pretense
then pretend the pretense of understanding
How long does it take depends

I think it's a fairly well-established practice now for bands to release an mp3 of the promo track/single before the album comes out. I think it serves to help the band more than having one mp3 available would make people not buy the album. If there was an mp3 and the hip were promoting it this could get on music blog sites, etc and it could build up more attention.
As for the song, I think it's pretty nice. It's a weird choice for a hip single - it seems that their first singles are generally rocking. I do like it a fair bit though. It is quite produced, but hey, I guess that's Bob Rock. Listening to it I thought it sounded really short, but it's actually four minutes long!

personally, i think bob rock ruinied this song. its not great not terrible either. but i want to like it more than i really do. i would much rather hear a raw version of this with paul droning out the background instead of this way over produced sound.

Great to finally hear something new from the band. I like it based on a few listens so far. I am not sure that it will sound all that great when played live, though. :?
