Private Hip Show for Hipbasers.
#61

If the show is somewhere in Southern Ontario, can somebody pick me up?
And, I must admit, I think I am one of those drunken singing fans... but I suppose it would be a lot different with 500-1000 fans than 25000 fans...

hey guys,
i was wondering, myself, i'd pony up extra to get this thing going, if anyone else is in this mindset financially, post, and we'll create a strong base to work with, plus if we could kick up a couple of extra bones for camp trillium, it wouldn't look that bad, eh!

ok if Michael Jacksons fan club can throw his a birthday party and have him actually show up
I totally think its possible and i know if the Hip would do it if ALL proceeds goto charity i saw them at the War Child Show in Winnipeg and saw them do the Concert For Toronto they wouldve prolly done the Stones show but other plans held them back
im in on this all the way $100 easy specially if its a small venue and the proceeds goto CHARITY

I can offer a bit of assistance although my job leaves me very little time to do much only have time on the weekends
mats ill pm you shortly most likely on sunday to help you out with some stuff when i can

Brother's NOIS and Tiger,
Thanks for the offer, I hope it doesn't come to that. The worst scenario is it will cost a few bucks to attend the show. But hey...

With regards to Camp Trillium, we hear you loud and clear.

Sweet.

Cheers,
mats.

dont worry, we're still working on the whole thing. once we get the hip to agree to play our show, we will determine the cost, date, etc.

Can I just ask what would be the problem with them agreeing to do the show? I'm just curious, do they have a min amount of $$ they demand or won't play?

actually the problem is not that we cant get them to agree to do the show, its just that it is taking some time to negotiate with their management

Hey guys,
Sorry to keep you in the dark for so long, but I usally don't talk about the show unless I have something worthy to say.

With that being said, I still don't have anything worthy to say...lol sort of.

They have been presented the proposal of sorts and are claiming that they are working on it and will be getting back to me soon.

I'm in a bit of an awkward spot where I too would like to know more but I don't want to "bug" them. So I am planning my next steps very carefully.

Cheers,
Mats.

Thanks for the update! Big Grin I understand for sure how you would feel about not bugging them.
I just wonder if the hip has any kind of say in this kindof thing? Confusedcratch:
Do you think they even know about it?
