nice... the wife and I stumbled upon him one morning he was doing a couple of songs on a morning tv show
impressive enough to grab the new album right away
He sure can sound like his old man at times...and can play the shit of the guitar
totally agree on how good Lady Gaga's background vocals add to those two songs

I saw him with POTR a few years ago opening for John Fogerty. Solid set, and Fogerty was amazing as always!

The Hold Steady in TO, September 12 (hoping to hit 2/3 of the Horseshoe shows...the 15th is my anniversary, however, and having already spent one anniversary at a Hold Steady concert I'm not pushing the matter)

I know nothing about Ry Cooder, except for the obvious.
Is he aware of the Gord line? Does he ever acknowledge it? Would he ever do anything about it in a show in Canada? Would Ry Cooder actually sing a eulogy for Gord Downie?
