Did Kershaw play Queen of my Double Wide Trailer? I love that song.

I see a Stone Temple Pilots / Bush / The Cult tour announced. I just can't accept the new singer in STP yet, but have always wanted to catch The Cult. I might try to get tickets....

Saw them in Ottawa a few years back. I thought they kicked ass... until Ian Astbury lost the crowd by going off on rant declaring 'ALL LIVES MATTER''.

I was impressed by that Cult show. I'd actually seen them on Love, Electric, Sonic Temple, and Ceremony tours, and they likely sounded their best two years ago. Ian firmly inserted his foot in his mouth -- I honestly believe that he was not aware that ALM had a more critical connotation, and he seemed very contrite in his apology. The other weird thing is they stopped about 15 minutes early, due to miscommunication between the festival staff and their manager. I recall looking at my watch as they finished Love Removal Machine, thinking "uhh, OK -- what are you playing to close this show out?".

So yeah, they are worth seeing, and on that bill you know you're likely getting a 12-13 song set list that will cover all the classics plus their new material is pretty good.

Saw Noel Gallagher with his revamped High Flying Birds (some new members) in February. Great as always.

Area 506 is a great festival. A few years on, and it definitely has its legs underneath it. Great lineup this year.

I made it to the festival the night Grace Potter headlined two years ago. Really cool location for a festival.

Saint John.... finally getting some arts and culture!

That was a great show. For a non-Wilco fan attending who was unsure, my preview was "what happens between the songs is sometimes as good as the songs" and Jeff did not disappoint. There were a few songs that I prefer in the full band treatment (Bull Black Nova), but I also like hearing what are more complex musical pieces deconstructed to just a simple guitar and vocals.

I'd also previewed to the non-fan "Wilco has some odd fans" -- Jeff can be really engaging, and some see that as an invitation to have a continuing conversation with him. He shut that down a few times last night politely, where in the past I've seen him be less polite.

Hip-related, it's either in Barclay's book or elsewhere I read that on ARA Tweedy did not really socialize with the other bands (rest of Wilco did). He would have likely been in the depths of his addictions at the time. Too bad, because he and GD really have a poetic way with words on paper ("the ashtray says you were up all night").
