I think most times the winner of the Vezina invariably ends up being the First All-Star team goalie.. but the two selections are voted on by different groups of people. The Vezina by the 30 General Managers, and the All-Star teams by the Professional Hockey Writers' Association. :?

It's usually the same guy that gets voted for, but not this time. Ah well, Brodeur deserved the Vezina over Nabakov, so it's fine by me. What I want to know is what is Dion Phaneuf doing on the 1st team? :nooooo

:what That is just crazy. The hatred does run deep in PA between those two teams and fans, things like this just adds fuel to fire.

Hell yeah!

In other news this year's HHOF inductees were announced today - Glenn Anderson and Igor Larionov. Gilmour and Oates got screwed again...

Gilmour will get in eventually.
As for Anderson, it's about time! Well earned, and overdue. In the past, there have been some locks (MacInnis, Messier, etc.), so Anderson had to wait his turn. Finally, he's receiving his due.

He was with TSN.

Now all that's needed is Pierre McGuire to find another job! :?

Gilmour won't make the HOF next year either.
Steve Yzerman, Brett Hull, Brian Leetch and Luc Robitaille will in their first year of eligibility.
