The kids don't get it...

want to be a nobody without peer
want to be a thought that's never done
want to shake your faith in human nature
want to break the hearts of everyone
want to be your wheezing screen door
want to be your stars of Algonquin
want to be your roaring floorboard
want to break the hearts of everyone

I loved it when they broke that one out at Downsview last summer.

They played it in Edmonton as well. Highlight of the set for sure.

It's pretty damn cool that they're opening this private event up to registered users and no one else. That should cut down on the meathead and donkey factor. Too bad I'll be in Ontario or I'd make the trip down from E-town.

that is one sweet line up.
kudos to organizers for doing ticket sales this way!
hopefully it turns out as expected, with true fans getting in and not getting shut out by scalpers.

Yeah, this sounds way better than the usual Stampede shitshow.

I was hoping The Hip weren't going to be announced Sean. I knew the only headlining act they were annnouncing was for Friday night & I wouldn't be able to make it. If The Hip are announced for Saturday night though, then I'm going!

Regardless of the date, looks like if it happens I'm going to be missing out on my re-occurring dream of The Hip playing on the banks of the St. John River. Gonna try and get my Hip fix at Niagara-on-the-Lake this year.

Have you been to Niagara before, Bonner? If not, it's definitely worth the trip.

Stoked for this one. My sister in law works for the law firm that puts this thing on every year and hooked me up with some tickets today. 8)

Yea, this one looks like it might be better than the usual outdoor Hip show. I'm definitely buying tickets on Monday. The fact that it's closed to the general public will hopefully cut the douchebag factor down to a tolerable level. It'll likely be another greatest hits show, but at least with the new album coming out soon, they'll probably sprinkle some new songs into the mix to make things interesting. Matthew Good always puts on a solid show as well, and it's been years since I've seen 54-40. I'm looking forward to it.
