i got an email about the $15 gift and even though you belittle the act/$$, it's FOUND money that i WILL use...certainly partial payment for spending an hour on the phone talking to ticketbastrd about the problem!
it just lightens the load of being shut out and certainly has put faith in the fact that this band cares...most bands wouldn't even go through the trouble...

Sorry to tell you buddy, but I got tickets for tonight and I'm happily going to the show.
My good friend ALSO got tickets for tonight, AND an email for a $15 coupon. So I was genuinely curious as to how my friend may have gotten an email since they had no problems getting tickets, never posted on hipbase, never called or emailed ticketmaster, never did anything about it.
Sorry I used the word complainers Mav, I don't think that's really the point here. I have always been appreciative and thankful of things you do.
Once again, I am genuinely curious as to how my buddy got on this "list" of people who had issues. That's all!

Nice gesture from the bands standpoint however ticketmaster will just raise their convienence fees to make up for their little handout.

being a proud fan creates huge loyalty. the from top down, the hip get it, and they always have.
i wouldn't even have the gall to ask for anything else
and i could care even less about the process and how they made it happen
even if i didnt get the $15 coupon i'd still be happy knowing that they actually care that much!!!!

Actually I got an e-mail from the band, they are coming over tomorrow night for a BBQ and to perform in the backyard..........
cratch: cratch: Give me a break buddy, what about the people who miss out on tickets for other concerts when there isn't a fu$k up. This place holds 1000 people, even if everything worked fine, there still would have been people who missed out on tickets.
The website (hip.com) when well above and beyond for something that was not their fault. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

I think "screwed" is a bit much to say. 1,000 tickets were available and 1,000 true hip fans are going. Everyone can't go, even if the TM site worked as it should have some people would still be mad they couldn't go.
I got "screwed" out of great seats, but I kept trying and didn't give up and still got FLR seats after 25 minutes.
Let's all just be happy that the band is awesome, it's a Friday and the weather is amazing. Should be a great weekend.

WOW I'm in like total disbelief right now. I, along with the many other Hip fans, was unable to get tickets monday. I decided today for the heck of it to call up the danforth music hall and maybe i would luck out. I spoke with a wonderful employee, who put me on hold, then asked for my name, and told me she could give me 1 ticket. In the 4TH ROW!! It seems kind of ironic, because on monday i was able to pull up 4th row twice, but encountered errors. Unfortunately, she couldn't get me another one anywhere in the venue, since I was originally planning on going with a friend, but there was no way I was going to pass up on this incredible opportunity!! I'm just so excited right now, see you all there at the concert!
