The Music Hall in Toronto on Friday, April 24th
#46

Being as any body that's a member of hipbase is almost definately also a member of thehip.com, and will get this email, is it possible that we either remove the email at the beginning of the thread or at the very least remove the password? I know that when the presales for all of the other shows were going on there were tonnes of guests perusing the base looking for passwords, not unlike what is being discussed above. Just saying in order to not make the entire password/fan club thing redundant, remove at the very least the password from a site that can be observed by anybody with an internet connection. (Mods, please? Big Grin :what )

Awesome! Do you use the same screen name on PPM?

And yeah they botched the Canadian shows, especially the 2nd shows in the 3 Canadian cities. I'm still angry about that :censored

Yep, same name on PPM. The Cdn presales were a big cluster****. Ended up with 4 19th row seats for T.O. #1 (and 1 GA that my wife was able to get) and 23rd row for MTL #1. I didn't even know there was a 2nd Montreal show until 7 pm Saturday nite, so I ended up with 400 level for that one, but figured since we were going to be in Montreal anyways... might as well go.

Seeing as I dont have my own credit card, is there any way that a pre-paid credit card could be used (like a Visa gift card) as a credit card.

I think tickets will be damn near impossible to get. For the Metallica presale in Montreal, they used a universal presale code which wasn't released until right before tickets went on sale and sold something like 8,000 tickets in the presale.

It's too bad the Hip wouldn't use a unique password for each registered member like Metallica did for the TM presales.

It's nice to see a fellow Metclubber here![/quote]

agreed! even chickenfoot had unique passwords for yesterday's pre-sale for the mod club show.

Well I may not be from that area, but with it sounds like any day, Atlantic Canada will become a lot happier.

By posting this here, you're really shooting yourself in the foot and making it harder for you to get tickets. Not the smartest thing I have seen. Personally.

Agreed. It's going to be tough enough to get tickets with the venue holding less than 1,100 people. Posting the password for everyone is just going to make it that much tougher.

I removed the password.

Is there anyone on here who isn't a member of the Hip.com? If anyone hadn't been getting an email, they probably would have asked for the password from another member when they heard about the show. I really don't believe it was ruining anyone's chances of getting tickets, it was merely something everyone had already seen, or aiding people who are members, but not getting the emails. Most of us probably can't attend the show anyhow, but for the people who are, I am sorry.

Thanks Brent, it's not so much the people that are hipbase members, but guests who just come on here for presale passwords and the like. Hopefully this'll increase my chances of getting tickets. My last exam of the semester goes from 2-5 that day, I figure I can get the hell out of U of T Scarborough and leave my studies behind for the night. But if I can't get tickets at least I have a scapegoat to blame it on (Brent) lol, jk.

I have to hope that if I am sitting on my computer at 10 am I will get two for my wife and I. Shit I am nervous...Hopefully selling my Hamilton Place tickets to a fellow Hipbaser will give me some good Karma Smile

not sure if this has been posted before.. but is anyone else having problems with ticketmaster.ca?

ticketmaster.com seems to be working fine.. but no connection to the canadian version of the site.

concerned this will be a problem on monday, since the link re-directs us to the canadian site.
