Official 2009 Tour Dates
#46

With the price of tickets, I don't think I can afford 3 nights in Vancouver.
If I only do 1 show what is going to best? Hard decisions for sure

if I had to choose only one Vancouver show - I would choose the final one just because they are off for a month afterwards.

They usually do a decent job of mixing up the setlist when doing multi-night shows.

Only one NYC show forces a road trip. Other than the financial pain-in-the-ass, this is good news. Was set for Lewistown, but hearing about no lawn during a summer outdoor show is not for me. Maybe Seattle/Portland for a week.
Good stuff!

Also, my two cents on pre-sale location: For the "WC" tour, in the States all 3 shows I went to were GA. But for Canada, Toronto was the only venue (out of Toronto, London, Hamilton) that gave me website fits. (unlike trying to buy Pearl Jam 10C tix...) Anyway, Hamilton was row 13 center floor, London was row 11, back right floor, Toronto was row 1 left center floor (!!!). IMO, can't beat those locations with a stick...

Where the hell is the 9:30 Club gig? Come on, you guys have made it a point to hit DC on ever tour....guys?

This + no actual U.S. presale options = shitty start to the week.

What do you mean no US presale?

I wouldn't sweat the 9:30 Club show(s) too much. They will announce more shows later (per the email: "We will have more summer shows and European dates to announce soon.") And they always seems to get to DC in late July, when the calendar is currently open. I know nothing, but I think you're safe.

oh gee.. what a surprise. nothing east of montreal.

a possible festival / outdoor show would be fine, but this is their 2nd theater tour and the 2nd time we are left out. there are lots of venues out here to play.

Wow, I guess the rumour I heard about them playing the Save on Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria was right. I was expecting all shows to be club/theatre shows, but this date seems to be an anomaly.

As much as I love seeing the Hip in an arena, I might try to head out east to the Banff show as well.

See y'all in Seattle.

The Moore Theatre is decent. Hopefully the floor seats are available. Would have loved to see a return to Marymoor Park, though. Either way, I'll take it and I'll try to snag some Van-city tix for the Orpheum shows.

Can anyone suggest a good hotel near the Save On Center in Victoria? I think my friend and I are going to do Seattle, then Victoria, seeing as it is on a Saturday and we can do an overnighter and not have to worry about mundane jobs and responsibilities!!!

Any help you can suggest would be awesome.

I cannot concentrate today. BEST DAY EVER!!!! :jump

Yeah wasn't that Marymoor show FANTASTIC?!!!!!I Remember it was the hottest day of the year but perfect for an outdoor evening show. It was the first time I heard 'Dire Wolf' live so I remember it fondly!!
Did you go to that show at the Moore in '07? Really good show too and I think they took the seats out so you could stand right up the front. I had a few bevvies though so I may be mistaken hehe.

There is literally a dozen traveller's inns in a three block radius from the arena. They're the budget hotel chain in Victoria, so if you're not looking for much, they're great.

Hey guys, does anyone know if there's a limit on the amount of tickets we can purchase during the presale? There's 6 of us wanting to go but if I can only get 2, then one of my buddies will need to register on thehip.com
