There *are* a few songs on the setlist that I would be thrilled if they never played again, namely fireworks and springtime in vienna. That said, for a few years I went to shows really wanting to hear Locked in the trunk of a car and as the show went on, I'd get more and more annoyed ("damnit, not wheat kings *again*! Sonofabitch, I've heard Grace too 10 times already!") I finally got locked last fall in montreal, and when I went to see them here in Ottawa in February, it was nice to just go and not worry about the setlist. Might've been the first time I ever enjoyed 'ahead by a century'...but I still took a pissbreak during 'springtime'...

I know I had a point there, but damned if I can remember what it was.

just as an fyi for all those that would like springtime to be removed from sets...gord has said its his favorite song to play live (on a video interview they had on their site), so I wouldn't count on that one being taken out anytime soon.

I dont think he said he felt that way,he was just asking a question :thumb: It is quite possible that this plays a role(small).For the fans that see\watch\listen to alot of shows thats alot of exposure.I have not got bored with this band for almost 20 yrs now.I still get the wow factor everytime i see the boys

Less than 100 people (on average) download each DVD posted to the tracker. Even if they share each DVD with a few people, there are really not that many people seeing the DVDs when compared to the number of people at a show. And of those who download, there are more than a dozen that are completist collectors and download everything.

I hear you. I had "the Hits" show in Philly recently w/ courage to open up the encore. The Band performed well that night, but the setlist was lacking. Sorry you were disappointed.

I thought the shows earlier this tour were much better, w/ 1 cover and many b sides and gems played. Courage should be put on Hiatus.

The Hips worst show ever was at UB Stadium in suburban Buffalo in spring of 1993. The sound was horrendous, the crowd idiots, and then someone hit Gord with a shoe upside the head, and the boys walked off the stage, not to return.
Having had time to reflect on the Rochester show, in the big picture, it was an awesome show. The crowd stood the whole time, the band was tight and into it, good energy all around, and the sound superb. Yes, some of the setlist could have been a little more "rare" or what have you, but 6 months from now, we'll all be jonesing for a live Hip fix, even if it featured nothing but the "hits", anything just to get us by, and sadly, it may not be coming for a year or more, awaiting a new album and tour.
Cherrish what you had in Rochester, Syracuse, wherever this past tour, because it was all good, regardless of set list wishes.

The UB show was the pits. Half the crowd drunk Canadian kids the other half drunk hip hoppin Black Sheep fans. Not a good combo!!!!!!!
I do seem to remember Gord in a Lime Green suit with a bushy beard! Classic!
