that's at LEAST 3 too many by my estimation!!!!!!!!

not good.

No Koivu, no Komisarek and no Streit..ouch, that could be a problem if they dont make the first round. It'd be a shame to see such a great season get wasted by going out in the first round.

But looking back I wasnt expecting any of this so its gravy really. It would be good for the younger players especially Price to get some playoff experience so I hope we at least make it to the second round.

thats not being cocky?

The team is in first place for the first time in ages and we've clinched a playoff spot..Ive been a hardcore fan my whole life, I watch every single game win or lose I think Ive earned the right to gloat or cheer the team on and you can call it whatever you like. Besides I wasnt being cocky anyway so dont blame me cause I never said anything about beating T.O in my post, skippy just made something out of nothing.

The team was flat, missing a few key guys so Im not surprised we lost, Halak was the only real bright spot in that game. Toronto outshot us and outplayed us the whole game, they deserved that win.

Were in the playoffs so its not the end of the world, but I would always prefer to go into the playoffs on a high, so clinching the conference title would be nice. But Ill still settle for the division, and I agree Id rather avoid the Caps in the first round..give me Philly, Boston or Buffalo.

Montreal had their foot off the gas. Two penalties for too many men? That's a team not concentrating. They knew Ottawa lost, they know they're currently on top, they didn't have the hunger. Carbo playing guys who have been healthy scratches for weeks is sending a message.

I'm not concerned about their play -- they'll come out hard when the playoffs start. I am concerned about those injuries. But considering that they haven't had the team doctors check out Streit or Koivu yet, they may just be playing it safe.

it was just a joke, and so was the way to go comment...

word is Koivu has a broken foot.. Komisarek has a hip injury and is expected back by the end of the regular season, or at least by the start of the playoffs.. and I'm not sure about Streit's situation. Depending on the severity and knowing how much of a warrior Saku is, I can see him coming back in the playoffs at some point

The speculation is Koivu has a broken foot, and as far as I can see, that's all it is at this point.

Nice, to go through the regular season more or less injury-free, and then have players drop like flies with just a few games left to go.

I was not too impressed with the Pens power play (or lack thereof) today.

Had to laugh that Pierre McGuire was kissing Crosby's butt after making that stupid remark that Crosby embellished the high stick to the mouth from Shannahan, loved how Crosby called him out on it. Had the black tape on the mouth guard to prove it..

pens have the atlantic all but wrapped up, will be nice to have home ice to start. PP did not look good at all...0 shots on their last 3 PPs...ouch

What is your opinion of the way the Jagr situation is hitting the media?

Is it a good idea for Jagr to talk about it now? If they are getting a prospect for next year, then shouldn't they wait until end of playoffs to discuss details?

Any Ranger fans on the board have any opinions on this?

Heard the boo's every time he touched the puck, but that is to be expected in the Burgh.

Could be a dumb question, but what's the Jagr situation??

Jagr has let out of the bag (to NY press) that he is in "talks with the European, (Russis) elite league regarding playing over there next season" but only if the price is right...

My point is bad time to talk about that when team is just about to hit the playoffs.

Wow. Yeah, that seems like really bad timing. Probably a good move for him though, seeing as how he's really not accomplishing much in the NHL these days.

Jagr is a douchebag

I understand that is not really Jagr that is talking about this so much...seems the press, (whom I have a love/hate relationship with) is fanning this news fire.

I always liked Jagr. Being a Pens fan, I was very happy especially in 1991 and 1992 and so on.

When he was in Pittsburgh it seemed he was happiest, and after he went to Washington, I never saw the same player.

Hated seeing him go to NY, I could've thrown up...sorry if I offend any Ranger fans, but since you are hockey fans, I know that you understand the feeling I rather he would quit than play for the Rangers, (being a Pens fan).
