Fox Wrote:Hello everyone,

I've been a fan for many years. I've only seen the band live twice- the first time was at Richardson Stadium in Kingston about 15 years ago, and this past summer at Zwicks Park in Belleville. I'm now wondering why I waited so long to go to another show...it was truly one of the best concerts I've ever seen. :thumb:

Welcome!

That Richardson show was awesome! I really wish I could find a recording of it.

That was my second concert...my first was Brian Adams, in Kingston as well. The show at Zwicks park was AMAZING too. I have a couple vids of that one.

My name is Sal in Buffalo, NY. I've been listening to the Hip since they first hit the music scene thanks to 102.1 the edge radio in Toronto...great station!. Gordie and the boys really belt out some classic angst and jams. The music really speaks to me. The first Hip show I saw was at the Showplace Theater in Buffalo. It was a benefit concert and I'll carry that memory to my grave. Why? I was the first in line for tix. You actually had to pose for a picture for the tix, allowing you only two tix total, and only one other person could enter with you on the second tix.
The dvd is a torrent dload.

Speaking of...when I dload a torrent...how do I convert it to a useful dvd? Please help. I've read the faq's and they don't give much help other than telling you what bit torrents are.

Can't wait for the new disc!

Welcome Sal!!!

I don't fully understand your question about converting a torrent to a useful DVD. The audio recordings are primarily in FLAC format. This is a compressed format for which you can either decompress to WAV or AIFF, or you can get a player or plugin to play them directly.

The DVDs are in standard DVD format. Just burn them to a disc and put them in your player. The specific settings for your burning software may vary, but there are lots of helpful people here.

And with regards to that benefit show - where is it available for download?

Greetings all, my name is Nicholaus, I'm originally from Buffalo, but since 2001 I've moved to Denver, San Jose, Syracuse, and in August I just made it out to Seattle where I live now. I've seen the Hip 3 times, but in very different settings. At Woodstock 99 with hundreds of thousands of people, in 1997 at Darien Lake with 20,000 people, and in 2002 in Denver at the Gothic Theatre with about 600 people (not even a sold out show). This morning I just got 2nd row seats for the Seattle show, and I'm extremely excited since I couldn't afford it the last time they were in Syracuse.

Cheers!

Wooooo...I have no clue why I haven't come to this site earlier. I've only seen the hip a few times.... as a Canadian living in Ohio....it's so nice when they make it out this way! Especially now that I've got my fiancee addicted to their shows
