Good for you! There isn't a better spectator sport played in North America. Bad for you that you're a Leafs fan. While I have much repesct for the storied original six franchise, their current state is best described as "meh". And from what I've seen, the average ticket price to go see a game is like $200 CDN. Ouch...

Out of curiousity - and I'm being completely serious here - when did Habs fan last have any semblance of hope? Given that the last 14 years have provided you Habs fans with a whopping three playoff series wins, I'm just wondering......

Yeah, like all those obnoxious leaf fans out there would ever do something like that.. Please, Leaf fans bring that hate onto themselves, all my life Ive had to listen to whiny obnoxious leaf fans going on about there team, year after year.. and really what have they ever accomplished worthy of praise in the last 40+ years?? Absolutely Nothing. When you have a long spell of perrenial losing like the Leafs do you better expect some good razzing to come your way, deal with it I say. Hey the Habs arent much better off but Im 29 yrs. old and at the very least I can say I saw them win the cup 3 times (Im sure my dad had me watching the t.v. when they won in 78' even though I was a few months old..it still counts) The modern version of the Habs may not be the best, but were also handcuffed by a terrible tax situation and for the longest time a weak dollar...dont tell me that hasn't played a big part in getting top players to come play there, otherwise Im sure we'd be alot better off. Toronto on the other hand really hasnt had much excuse for that, during the FA era they had all the money they could spend, and an attractive place to play..poor management and non-hockey people calling the shots has robbed the fans of having a real shot at a Cup. You leafers need to revolt on that MLSE, burn the ACC down show some passion, they did it for the Rocket.

We havent had hope since St.Patrick was dealt to Colorado, its going to be like the curse of the bambino in Montreal.
But like I already said, at least we have had alot of great moments of joy in the last 40 years, what have you had really? A few trips to the conference finals thats about it, with the money that franchise has there's really no reason why they should not have at the very least made it to the finals once in the last 10-15 years. Even Florida and Washington have made it to the finals since 96.

My bad, make it 4 baby!!
Forget about hope, the bottom line is your team still didnt win. The greatest joy a sports fan can experience is seeing their team win the big prize. And for Leafs fans unless you are at least in your mid 50's you haven't had the joy, thats the real shame of it all. Not that I care anyway, I hate the Leafs, I hope they never win it again and Im pretty confident they wont in my lifetime. But those memories of 93 will last a lifetime I tell ya. :thumb:
