Is it worth trying to get tickets to pass on to other users here? I already got the tickets I wanted for the TO shows on the 12th and 14th but I could try to get some tickets for the Kingston show to pass on to someone here. I'd just ask that I get back exactly what I spend including any ticketmaster fees. Is it worth trying for this or should I just leave it for the people who are trying for themselves?

The more tickets in hands of fans than resellers the better.

I have the 4 shows I wanted to got to. Anything additional I get tomorrow will be available here for face value.

Just curious, and I apologize if this has been answered in another thread, but how can people enter with stub hub tickets without the ticketholder? Are only some of the tickets credit card only for certain shows? Or does it have to do with the transfer or re-sell your tickets feature through ticketmaster?

I heard so far that only the platinum tix are cc entry.

I get a kick out of this if true - pay 5x (or more!) face value but forfeit the opportunity to recover your $ in the event you cannot attend.

I almost went out and bought a pre-paid amex as another baser suggested. After reading a few posts from the amex presale today I am relieved I didnt. Fan club presale was too frusterating of a morning off, and I knew I would be taking friday morning off as well.

Welp, guess I'll see all of you again on Thursday for the next pre-scalp.

I'm wondering if the band and or Hip management have heard about the ticket bot mess? Is there anything that they could or want to do about this? The Hip have always been a very fan friendly band IMO and I can't imagine this is sitting well with them.

Of course they do, and of course there is. Do they want to? Only they know the answer to that.

Most of us have been to at least one hip show (usually small venue tour warmup or album release) where they have made the entire venue was ticketless/guestlist. Brockville, Bala, Danforth, etc. come to mind. On the hips official "tips for the presale" facebook post I wrote of my hopes for hipbase presale and the entire tour being ticketless, before the presales started it was the most liked comment. To think that they couldnt have done this for the Kingston show at the very least was short sighted on their part. Dare I say the almighty dollar played a role.

They know. Its a big part of their decision to use credit card entry only for a portion of the tickets for these shows. Unfortunately its not unique to this tour, its just an increased demand and an incredibly emotionally charged situation that makes it feel like something we havent seen before. Keep trying though, hopefully tomorrow will be better than these presales have been.

Im sure the band knows too. But besides making a brand new fan club which would be similar to Pearl Jam or NIN. Theres nothing they can do. Ticketmaster has a monopoly, and bands are forced to use them, which means bands are forced to TM terms. What Ticketmaster does is not the band's fault.

I was lucky enough to get pre-sale for Kingston, and was just logged in to my ticketmaster account re:another event. I saw a note on The Hip tickets that delivery had been delayed until mid-June, and a warning any purchases over the ticket limit would be cancelled.

Interesting, I wonder if they are able to go in and cancel some illegitimate sales?

Reading this gem from a guy who has purchased tickets (along with his friends) for the kingston show is just what I needed this morning! Laughable. Unless you meant "this is actually a step further" because anyone (Including new "fans" with no tth history) could access a weak password the night before the "presale" where Tickets in the first few rows were initially held hostage @ 3-4x face Value ... In under 24h I saw row 4/5 prices soar to nearly 10X face! These are not secondary market resale sites, but coming from the band and ticketbastard. What will they be marked up to this morning?

Anyone will tell you that Pearl Jam looks after their longtime fans. If this was 10club we would be booking hotels and flights today, Looking forward to premium (not platinum!) seats earned from over a decade of senority attending shows with diverse and unique setlists. Instead, many hipbasers are hoping for A SINGLE anywhere in the building in what feels like a stacked-deck race against the bots. For a farewell tour where some would not be surprised if we see short carbon copy setlists sung from a teleprompter. It is light years behind what Pearl Jam does, perhaps even a century behind.

Recent moves by the hip have left me feeling my loyalty has a rank on the totem pole far below publicity and finances. After 15 years of buying their albums and tickets, and two mornings off work this week With no tickets to show for it so far, that is a shitty feeling. All of it can be water under the bridge in an hours time, so here's hoping :music
