Wow, Martin Gerber! What a display of goaltending the last few minutes, especially during the long 5-on-3 PP for the Rangers, which was basically a Jagr/Shanahan shooting gallery. Gerber deserves a shutout in this one!

If it wasn't for some terrible reffing he would have gotten the shutout, I'm glad I picked this guy up in my pool. I don't know what I'm gonna do when Emery comes back though cause he'll probably become # 1.

Concerning Emery's return, I hope John Paddock adopts the philosophy "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." Gerber's been playing well since the tail-end of last season.

Ya, but with all the money they're paying Emery, Paddock's probably under a lot of pressure to play him no matter what. He's too expensive to be a back-up

Gerber makes more than Emery ($3.7 million vs. $3,166,667).

Really!!? Confusedhock:
Well, I stand corrected. In that case, Ottawa has a pretty good goaltending tandem for the right price.

Yeah well I guess they need to write something to get paid... maybe their employers judge their work on output and not quality.

And they say Leaf fans jump to conclusions and ride emotional roller-coasters. Well... yeah, OK, we do, but maybe that's because those reactions are being fed to us by the ubiquitous media members such as Cox, Simmons, et al.? Hmmm...

Alternatively, maybe the Leafs actually do suck.

Nice overtime goal by McCabe tonight, too bad it was in his own net.
