New US Dates from pollstar
#31

Thanks MAv,

I was originally frustrated with the upcoming tour date info on thehip.com only because I was planning on taking a week off work to travel to a bunch of their shows. The Atlantic City and Hampton shows were not listed and then I later found out on Hipbase so I changed some plans.

I appreciate the clarification. I now have a better understanding on how things work.

I've been visiting this site long enough to know how much you do for Hip fans. It was never an attack against you. YOU ROCK!

It's not about me, it's about you. Atlantic City was just posted. I understand. I hope your plans work out and that you have a rock'n time. Now I gotta split. Walk the dog and high tale it to Oshawa.

Hi MAv, sorry to bug you, but I was wondering if/when the illusive European news would be announced?! Reading the reviews of the current tour has gotten me very excited, and I want to try and get in as many European shows (if there is going to be any) as possible.

Thanks - and keep up the great work.

Wow just checked it out - looks like the $35 balcony seats are gone, at least the presale ones. Looks like $25 general admission tix are still available.

I hope it's a crowded show for the Hip's sake, but not too crowded/packed like sardines for my sake!

I've seen the hip in Cleveland 5 times(2 agora/2 odeon/nuatica stage(Or whatever it is called now) each time there has been quite decent crowds...one time a bus load of Canadian stumbled in to the Agora...they were all fucked up...big time... Gave one a beer in the parking lot and we talked for a few. He was like "You can buy beer in there?" I explained that it was a club and the uniquely canadian phenomenom of the beer tent was not adhered to in the states.

I don't expect a sellout but it should be a decent crowd. I hope I can get balcony tix tomorrow...my wife is 4'11".

Markus, you're killin' me over here! No tix left @ HoB presale.

I certainly appreciate you letting us know of this presale....though I would have appreciated it even more if you would have put it in a relevant thread yesterday instead of today.

Oh well. Guess I'll have take my chances with the general public sale like most everyone else....

Who do I have to kill to get an "Opera Box" seat?

Are Opera Boxes good for rock concerts? They do look roomy and provide a great view, but you'd think that the sound would suffer over there, as the speakers are facing sideways for opera boxes. ?

Hmmm.

My sources tell me that it'll be September when The Hip are next in Europe; Ireland, France, Germany, Scandinavia...

Hmmm.

I'm grappling with whether to go for seats tomorrow, or just suck it up and get GAs. My days of fighting for a spot near the front are over -- I'd rather stand or sit back and enjoy the show.
