[skippy the wonder dog]

I will seriously whip it out and pleasure myself at the March 1st show if they play it.

Note to self in re: shows not to attend....

Studio: any
Live: any

Studio: Courage

Really? I always thought it sounded better live.

Studio: Gift Shop. For some reason they've never been able to capture the majesty of the studio version in a live setting.

Live: Tiger the Lion- it's pretty cool on the CD, but it's an entirely different monster when they do it live.

Yeah, I know i'm wacked...it's just something about the depth of the album cut...and the video is my fav...

[Ballgame]

Gift Shop live is great with the red lights

[NegPhil]

Fight is a great song live. That muddy guitar rumbles the room. The Wherewithall and Gus also rock super hard live.

I remember a particularly punk-ish version of The Wherewithal in Calgary one time that rocked so hard that it actually felt like my body was being blown backwards by the force of the sound. It was the heaviest thing I've ever heard from the Hip.

.......oh The Dark Canuck kicks some serious ass too

This. If any song should be brought back to the setlist it's TDC. I will seriously whip it out and pleasure myself at the March 1st show if they play it. I don't care if I get arrested because my life will be complete.

That disturbing visual aside, I second the notion that The Dark Canuck should be played live again and/or made the alternate National Anthem.

When they were playing it on the IVL tour, I remembering thinking to myself and saying to my brother, if people would just pay attention to this song and give it the love it deserves it could be a setlist staple for years to come and bring the house down every single time like Blow or NOIS or Bones. But -- alack -- 'twas not to be.

Greatest tune ever (I know I said that about Goodnight Josephine the othe day, but this time I really mean it).

who's for the Dark Canuck? Everyone, hands up!

Geez when was the last time they played that? Great song

[NegPhil]

Looks like they last played Fight live in 1999. Holy Moley, why have they not busted that barn burner out for seven years?

Studio: Gift Shop. For some reason they've never been able to capture the majesty of the studio version in a live setting.

I see what you're getting at there, but I've seen some shows where Gift Shop was as majestic as anything they've ever performed. During the TATH tour, Gift Shop and Daddy were specifically responsible for conditioning me to believe that TTH were not just one of my favorite bands, but one of the very best rock bands going.....

Live - GRACE, studio version doesn't do the song justice after hearing it live.

Studio - Boots, a personal favorite.... almost sounds county live.
