not to belittle anyone's money problems, but isn't 27 bucks like half-a-night's drinking for a college kid?

Plus when you factor in the difference between what one would be likely to spend on it by going down the street to a music store ($17? maybe) and what'd it's cost one to have it via amazon.ca a few months early (even disregarding currency conversion), that's like 2 pints, tops.

Plus, you have to figure that one would have at least $10 worth of satisfaction by enjoying World Container on the same day as the rest of us. So, it'd basically be a wash.

Of course, this math doesn't work if you weren't planning to do any drinking this weekend.

We probably won't get it the same day anyway if we order through Amazon.ca. It says 1-3 days and I've learned over the years to never expect an order before the last day it could come.

Of course 'back to form' doesn't mean anything, and was probably written by someone at Puretracks who has to write 25 of those blurbs every day among the other stuff they're doing. Given how poorly constructed the paragraph is I have to believe it wasn't even proofread.

"Back to form" is a nice, safe cliche because people who like what The Hip have been doing lately will want the new music anyway, while people who haven't liked the recent stuff will look at the quote and say, "Hmm. . . Back to form, eh? Well, let's give it a shot."

However, my experience of mail in the UK is that the Royal Mail kicks Canada Post's ass all over the place ... so if it took 26 months for IBE to get to Zenith, then I'm blaming our guys.

In Edinburgh, we used to get the mail twice a day and even on Saturday. It was ridiculous. I'd send stuff back home and people would have it in two days, which is the same amount of time it takes a letter to get from Toronto to ... er ... Toronto.

$27 is half a night's drinking, are you joking?
You could get like.... probably 50 cans of beer with that kind of money, even more if you're buying cheap stuff. But anyway, I'm in season for cross country right now.

And secondly, that doesn't really justify (in my mind, anyway) paying that much when I don't really have enough time for a job.

Whatever, I'll get it eventually- I've waited awhile for it already. I love "In View," I don't care if the lyrics lack their former depth, it's probably the catchiest melody of any song they've done.
