They are extremely talented, and have several catchy tunes and are played on college radio here all the time. They play rock, but it is different than The Hip. I have never heard of the Joel Plaskett Emergency before their last tour, and now it seems that everyone is listening to them. Everyone here should check out Grand Theft Bus, I think. Their website is www.grandtheftbus.com . Or if The Hip wanted to tour with someone who people have heard of before, I think it would be awesome if they toured with Matt Mays + El Torpedo (as was suggested earlier). Matt Mays is pretty solid, and would probably draw some fans just for him. Then they'd stick around to see The Hip and become converts  .
I have seen them play a few times when I lived in Halifax. They are a Jam band, wouldn't work.
I need 2 Kingston Tickets, please help.

Tegan & Sara are opening for The Killers on Tuesday here in Toronto. I'll let you know how they do on the big stage at The Amphitheatre...
I've always enjoyed their CD, "This Business Of Art."

No doubt there a jam band, but thats mostly their first album, Birth Of Confusion. Flies In The No Fly is their new one, and it is very non-jammish(?) and just has solid songs all the way through. Also, their music is heavier on their latest album.

I've seen some east coast bands like Slocoaster and Jimmy Swift Band, and I'm pretty sure I've seen Grand Theft Bus also. This is just my opinion, but I was so bored out of my mind I had to leave. The music seemed so dull to me. Again, that's just my opinion.
