Fully completely is the one most everyone can agree on.
I think their newest one is probably the best (In Violet Light), Just because of the maturation of the music is shown beautifully.

I would have to say that the albums that come to mind as masterpieces for me would be - Road Apples, Fully Completely, Day For Night.
Although I love the Hip from start to finish I think the three albums that they released in the first half of the 1990s are the ones that lead me to love them so much and will forever be my favorites

This is just my opinion, but I think Road Apples is their biggest masterpiece.
As for the album that "defines the band" the most, I think it is Day For Night. It is somewhere between what they started out like and what they are now. It has a good variety of songs and has of course perhaps the greatest song they have ever written, Nautical Disaster. So, in that sense, Day For Night is their greatest masterpiece.

for me it's a toss between FC and DFN.....i really would love to say TATH but the inclusion of coconut cream and butts wigglin' are just too much to ignore, even for gems like ABAC and Sherpa so it's one (or both) of the first two i mentioned!
