Come, on...Hasek is one of the best goalies to do ever don the pads. I can see him making a difference. Poor Lalime, though... all year he played great and then fell short in the play-offs, in the most crucial game.
They say, your team is only as good as your goalie. I think Hasek has a few more years left in him.

There is no truth to the Hasek nailing Nolan's wife rumor. Although that seems to have spread very well throughout Buffalo. The tension between the two goes like this. Dom is a family man, while he drinks and parties it up, he is very serious when it comes to family. His kids are the most important thing to him. I think is is a big part of the reason why he is coming back to play. His kids loved it here in North America. His wife loved it here, but he wanted to go back to the Czech Republic. He is probably the wealthiest person in that country, one where you can live and retire on 20,000 dollars from what I understand. Anyways, Ted Nolan claimed to be that family man as well, and Dom saw right through it. Nolan had women in many cities and Dom was really furious with that. One, that he had time for women on the road when there were more important things to do, like prepare to win games, and two, because Nolan was married, but loved to have relations with others on the road. Dom was so mad by this that he basically gave Muckler the altimatum, he goes or I go, they stuck with Dom. I think word got out about Nolans ways and nobody wants to take a chance on him. He is a very good coach and that is too bad, but I guess some mistakes are more costly than others.
